Finding Dory
1. Ellen DeGeneres is the star this time
Dory, voiced by DeGeneres, is as sweet as she is forgetful. We can't wait to see an entire adventure based on this character known to "sleep-swim" and find herself in trouble. Like most of us, Dory isn't perfect, but we love her despite her forgetfulness. DeGeneres is the perfect actor to lend her warm humor and guide the story.
2. Eugene Levy as Dory's dad, Charlie
Known best for the classic comedy Best in Show and the American Pie movies, Levy has joined the cast to play Charlie, and we're thrilled. We think he and DeGeneres will create a father/daughter team to remember.

3. No orcas in captivity
The story was originally supposed to take place in a Sea World-type marine park, where orcas are commonly kept in captivity. But after the filmmakers saw the documentary Blackfish, about the alleged mistreatment of orcas, they changed the location to the Monterey Marine Life Institute to avoid any controversy.
4. Focus on the true meaning of family
Disney Pixar is known for exploring the complicated relationships between family members without sugarcoating them, so we're excited to see what life lessons Dory and her family have to offer.

5. A cranky octopus
There is no actor more perfect than Ed O'Neill to play Dory's buddy, Hank, an ill-tempered octopus. Though we don't know yet what exactly Hank is all worked up about, this venomous cephalopod could steal the entire movie. Plus, the eight-legged plushy will be adorable.
6. Finding Dory will be in 3-D
The idea of watching an ocean adventure in 3-D has us super excited! While Finding Nemo had a lot of beautifully detailed underwater seascapes, we can only imagine how beautiful the California kelp forests are going to be in Dory.
7. Willem Dafoe thinks it's going to be better
Dafoe will return as the voice of Gill, the scarred Moorish idol fish. Here's what he said about Finding Dory: "It's even better than the first. It's fantastic. It's good to say I think it's going to be better than the first; that's good advertising! It's difficult to repeat a success and so many years afterwards, but it's really cool."
