In the new trailer, the raspy-voiced narrator asks, "How did we get this far?" Meaning, how did humanity not only survive but prevail on planet Earth? All sci-fi explores an uncertain future and The Fantastic Four is no different.
The narrator continues, saying, "But with every new discovery, there is risk, sacrifice and there are consequences." This statement over the images of these young people exploring what appears to be a new world sent shivers up our spine.
But the moment in the trailer that has us hooked comes at one minute and 35 seconds in. It has to do with "answers." Though we don't know what specific questions they're referring to, we can only imagine these answers will reveal our human origins and, with any luck, our destiny as a species.
Fantastic Four hints at the future of humanity
Wow, this movie isn't shying away from the big stuff, normally left for theologians and scientists to ponder.

Clearly, the filmmakers have a lot of confidence in the success of the new Fantastic Four, because they have already started on The Fantastic Four 2, set to release in June of 2017.
