Kevin Smith had decided to make a bold choice in what he calls his "comic book movie," Yoga Hosers. Instead of focusing on a testosterone-fueled story where a buff and brave man is the hero, he's choosing to make a film about two 15-year-old girls. We think that's awesome.
But Smith's not casting just any young starlets. He’s hiring his own daughter, Harley Quinn Smith, and the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp.

The movie, Yoga Hosers, is about two teen yoga fanatics who team up with a mercenary to battle a supernatural evil force that is threatening to seriously mess up their chi. The film also stars Lily-Rose's dad, Johnny Depp, Haley Joel Osment and Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is the New Black).

Wow, two teenage yogis who are using their Zen powers to better the world? It's a strange premise, but we love it. We always appreciate seeing powerful females up on the big screen.
Kim Leadford, Yoga Hosers' executive producer, recently told Us Weekly, "The timing couldn't be more perfect as so many production companies are struggling to find content to fill a serious void in the market of female superheroes and antiheroes. And, it's pretty exciting to have their dads making the film with them."
Teens Lily-Rose and Harley Quinn have already worked together in a movie called Tusk, where they both play convenience store clerks. Tusk is about a man, Wallace Bryton (Justin Long), who is kidnapped by a maniac who forces Bryton to become a walrus, both mentally and physically — yikes! Sounds like a page out of Kafka's dark novel Metamorphosis, where a man turns into a cockroach.

Tusk will hit theaters Sept. 19 of this year. Yoga Hosers is set to release June 1, 2015.
