As the music in the trailer begins to play, we get the feeling this is no typical Johnny Depp film. As Shirley Bassey begins to croon the lyrics to "Big Spender", we become immediately hooked.

By the time we get to see the mustachioed Depp make two clean swipes with his mustache brush, perfectly defining his facial handlebar, we know some massive silliness is going to ensue in this movie.

As Charlie Mortdecai, this "man of distinction" has sandy blond hair and looks incredibly dapper in his tailored corduroy suits. Inspector Martland (Ewan McGregor) refers to Mortdecai as "a bit of a moron, actually," and that's why we love him. He's a classic bumbler, even pulling a "Dick Cheney" when he accidentally shoots a friend on a hunting trip.

Mortdecai is stylish, edgy and socially inappropriate, so we're not too sure how he's going to fare with the ladies. Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn and even Aubrey Plaza all seem verklempt when it comes to this wealthy art dealer who enjoys jetsetting around the world and crash-landing poolside at swanky hotels.

Apparently, Mortdecai can't keep his hands off Olivia Munn's breasts and says, "Who knows, this may be a customary greeting in America," as he makes the motion of squeezing her mammary glands.

The film is based on a trilogy of books by Kyril Bonfiglioli that have amassed a cult following. This movie focuses on Mortdecai's search for a stolen painting, rumored to contain the code for a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold, all while juggling angry Russians and the British MI5.
