The trailer for Horns just dropped and it has us hot, hot, hot for Daniel Radcliffe. Not only does he sport a seriously-convincing American accent, but those piercing blue eyes and that scruff-covered chin are totally working for us. Oh, and the horns?
Well...
We might be able to get around those. As long as he's not really the devil that everyone in his hometown of Gideon, New Hampshire, seems to think he is.

Radcliffe plays Ig Perrish, a seemingly-ordinary young man in love, who, after his girlfriend has been violently raped and murdered, becomes suspect number one in her death. While the townspeople gather their proverbial pitchforks, Ig goes on a bender, only to find his forehead sprouting horns the next morning.
As Ig tries to find the real killer, he discovers that his horns have the power to make people confess their sins and give in to selfish impulses, which he puts to good use in his quest for answers and revenge.

So, has Ig been marked by the devil, as many a townspeople seem to think? Or could his horns have some other origin? As the trailer progresses, Ig makes friends with a snake and is seen carrying a pitchfork, so there is certainly enough imagery in the trailer to support a hellish conspiracy.
Of course, the other residents of Gideon seem to have plenty of their own strange tics, adding to the overall feeling that nothing is what it seems in this dark comedy by director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes).
Horns is based on the novel of the same name by acclaimed macabre writer, Joe Hill. If its eerily-dark storyline makes you tingle, it might have something to do with Hill's excellent storytelling genes: Hill is the son of revered horror writer, Stephen King.
Horns also features Heather Graham and James Remar, and is scheduled for an appropriately-spooky release on Oct. 31, 2014.
We're not sure if we can wait that long to see the handsome British actor get down and dirty, but it gives us plenty of time to work up our "Horny Harry Potter" Halloween costume for the premiere!
