There's no denying the on-screen fireworks between actors Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley in The Fault in Our Stars. Woodley plays Hazel, a terminally ill teen who is at first taken aback by the affection Elgort's character, Gus, shows for her. Determined to remain stoic, Hazel eventually lets Gus in, the love growing between them enough to melt the heart of even the iciest of audience members.

Seriously, bring some tissues.

Since the movie deals with heart-wrenching subjects, SheKnows was happy to sit down with the two young stars to talk about lighter things like love, remembrance and upcoming vacations.

We asked Woodley what the best part of playing her character was.

"The best part was exploring first love again," says Woodley, though she was quick to explain that the hardest part was "saying goodbye to first love again."

In the film, both Hazel and Gus have different views on how they want to be remembered after death. Elgort was inspired by the characters, explaining that "even Mozart at some point is no longer going to be remembered because enough time will pass that he's no longer relevant. I'd like to be remembered — but it's not the most important thing."

"It's not about being remembered, it's about living a life with integrity so that we can be responsible — it's about the generations who come," agrees Woodley. "What can we do on this earth, not for ourselves, but for the future ancestors?"

With the film opening this week, we wondered if the stars have any fun vacation plans. Elgort admitted that he loved filming in Amsterdam and plans to return next October for the Amsterdam Dance Event.

"I'm really into house music so I'm pretty sure I will be going back there in October." He then turned to his costar and said, "The one-year anniversary of us being there. You should come."

We're pretty sure that's an invitation no one could refuse.
